The FuzziBunz One-Size Cloth Diaper, the most adjustable one-size cloth diaper, was named “Best New Product of the Year,” and FuzziBunz was named “Most Innovative Company of the Year” for its efforts to bring quality eco-friendly diapering products to moms around the world.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run.

Stevie Awards were handed out in categories including Best Entrepreneur, Lifetime Achievement, and Women Helping Women at the gala event in New York City on November 12. More than 1,200 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

Finalists were chosen by business professionals during preliminary judging. The Stevie awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors chose the winners from among the finalists.

Tereson (Thomas) Dupuy Named “Best Entrepreneur” Finalist in 3rd Annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

NEW IBERIA, La. – Tereson (Thomas) Dupuy, the CEO of Mother of Eden and inventor of the patented FuzziBunz® pocket diaper system, was named a “Finalist” today in the “Best Entrepreneur – Non-Service Business – up to 100 employees” category in the 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during a gala event in New York in March. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend. More than 600 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur, and Best Community Involvement Program.

Dupuy, a Louisiana native, has been in the diaper business for more than seven years. She invented the pocket diaper concept and holds a U.S. patent for her invention. Thousands and thousands of moms around the world have made FuzziBunz® reusable diapers one of the top selling reusable diapers on the market today.

“I invented FuzziBunz® out of necessity. I wanted to help my baby better cope with the chronic diaper rash that plagued his skin. Disposables contained chemicals irritated his skin and traditional cloth diapers were soggy, inconvenient and hard to care for. I created a reusable diaper that keeps a baby dry and happy and that many moms tell me significantly reduces the incidence of diaper rash,” said Dupuy.

Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging. Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging.

Louisiana Native named “Best Entreprenuer”: Tereson Dupuy receives top honor in 3rd annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business

NEW IBERIA, La. – Tereson Dupuy, the CEO of New Iberia, Louisiana-based Mother of Eden Inc., and inventor of the patented FuzziBunz® pocket diaper system, was named “Best Entrepreneur” during a gala event held in New York City on March 2, 2007 in honor of the 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run worldwide and the Stevies organization has been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post.

Dupuy won Best Entrepreneur of a non-service business up to 100 employees and was selected over three other finalists in her category.  More than 600 nomination entries were submitted for consideration and women in more than 34 categories were honored for their efforts.

Dupuy, a New Orleans native, Broussard resident and graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, says she’s honored to be this year’s Best Entrepreneur.  She has been building Mother of Eden for nearly eight years and invented and patented the widely popular FuzziBunz® pocket diapering system in 1999.  In her acceptance speech,Dupuy  said, “Necessity is the mother of invention, and necessity is what led me to invent FuzziBunz®.  FuzziBunz® diapers continue to be the leading reusable diapering solution for today’s real moms and it’s a good feeling to see a mom and businesswoman like me being recognized nationally for her achievements.”
