NEW IBERIA, La. – Mother of Eden, the makers of the FuzziBunz® Stay Dry diapering system, today announces that the new manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of FuzziBunz® will be $17.95 as of September 1, 2006.
“We have always strived to bring affordable and sustainable diapering options to parents around the globe. While it was a difficult business decision to change the MSRP, we firmly believe that FuzziBunz® remain at a competitive price point. FuzziBunz® is the gold standard cloth diaper and the MSRP is a reflection of the high-quality product that our loyal customers have been accustomed to for many years,” said Tereson Dupuy, FuzziBunz® inventor and CEO of Mother of Eden.
This is the first MSRP change the company has made to its FuzziBunz® product in more than five years.
Mother of Eden also announces that as of September 1, 2006, FuzziBunz® will be available in sets. FuzziBunz® “sets” include a FuzziBunz® and a complimentary microterry insert. FuzziBunz® and inserts were previously sold separately. Inserts will continue to be available for separate purchase.
“While the price of FuzziBunz® has increased, we are happy to provide a free microterry insert with each purchase. In the past, customers would have to buy both a FuzziBunz® and an insert – today, we have eliminated that chore by providing a FuzziBunz® set, complete with an included insert at no extra charge,” says Dupuy.
FuzziBunz® is a reusable cloth diaper that includes three layers: 1) a waterproof outer barrier to keep wetness contained, 2) a soft microfleece inner layer that touches a baby’s skin and pulls away moisture, and 3) a unique, pocket-style opening that enables a parent to customize the absorbency using super absorbent micro-terrycloth pads.
Dupuy adds, “It’s important for our new and returning customers to understand that we are creating FuzziBunz® sets so we can maintain a higher standard of quality and convenience. Essentially, we are eliminating an additional cost to the customer by including an insert with each FuzziBunz® purchase. However, just because FuzziBunz® come with microterry inserts, many moms find that other inserts – such as hemp inserts – will work well too. While FuzziBunz® will come with a free microterry insert, our customers can continue to use what ever “stuffing” works best for them.”
