Lafayette, Louisiana (October 7, 2010) – FuzziBunz® cloth diapers today announces at the 8th Annual ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas the launch of its greenest diapering solution yet, the FuzziBunz Hemp™ one-size cloth diaper. This latest addition to the award-winning FuzziBunz cloth diaper line will include a super-absorbent hemp insert rather than a cotton, microterry insert.
FuzziBunz Hemp cloth diaper inserts are made of 55% natural hemp and 45% certified organic cotton. The hemp is biodegradable too, making FuzziBunz ultra-green! Hemp requires no pesticides to farm and it doesn’t deplete soil like cotton. It also has natural anti-microbial properties, which may aid in deterring mold, bacteria and fungus. The cotton helps to keep the insert soft and flexible.
Tereson Dupuy, the founder of the first modern cloth diaper, FuzziBunz, and the woman who started the modern cloth diapering movement, says that adding a hemp insert was a natural decision and one in-line with her mission to provide eco-friendly diapering solutions to new moms.
“Hemp is one of the unique fabrics that can elevate the eco-friendly conditions of the already eco-friendly cloth diapers. Hemp is truly an effective absorbing agent and is very breathable and durable by nature. These factors made hemp an irresistible addition to our line of cloth diapering products and accessories,” says Dupuy.
FuzziBunz Hemp cloth diapers will be available in a One-Size option in the color Vanilla. The diapers are available for pre-ordering at the ABC Expo. FuzziBunz Hemp will retail for $21.95.

The patented FuzziBunz® pocket diapers are a convenient and sustainable diapering solution for today’s busy parents. The reusable diapers ensure no leaks, no rash and no waste. FuzziBunz® diapers include three layers: 1) a waterproof outer barrier to keep wetness contained, 2) a soft microfleece inner layer that touches a baby’s skin and pulls away moisture, and 3) a unique, pocket-style opening that enables a parent to customize the absorbency using super absorbent micro-terrycloth pads. Stay-at-home-mom, Tereson Dupuy, invented FuzziBunz® in January 1999 in response to her infant son’s chronic diaper rash and her overall dissatisfaction with all available diapers. Tereson stitched the first FuzziBunz® in her home and a short time later, the FuzziBunz® diapering movement was born.
