Monday Mama: FuzziBunz Cloth Diapers Helped Stacie Brussow Save Money and Start a Business

Stacie Brussow is a mama of three who was inspired by FuzziBunz to start her own small business.  Let’s get to know this cloth (and business) savvy mom a bit more:

Q. How have cloth diapers changed your life?

A: Cloth diapers have changed my life because they have saved us so much money.  Being a single mom of three, it was nice to know that I always had diapers no matter what.  Even when money was low, there was always a stash of FuzziBunz in the closet to save the day!  I also wouldn’t have opened up my business, woollyboolly, to help us make a little extra money if it wasn’t for cloth diapers.  I just found the cloth love and it led to the opening of my own store.

Q: What is your funniest diapering changing, poop or pee story?

A: My funniest diaper changing story is having two in cloth. They would always poop at the same time and both get their diapers off at the same time. There have been so many times I’d have to run around trying to clean up them, the floor and the diapers. It can get a little crazy around here!

Q: What do you find most rewarding about motherhood?

A: What I find most rewarding about motherhood is watching my children grow up.  It’s funny how they can be such a reflection of you and teach you things about yourself.  Like the faces you make that you don’t even know you make or your habits.  They pick things up so easily and you are their number one teacher and they look up to you so much and want to be just like you.  When you see yourself in them and how far you have come as a family, it is absolutely amazing.

Q: What was the last movie you watched / or last book you read? Tell us about it.

A: The last movie we watched was Tangled.  My three year old really believes she is a princess.  She calls herself “Princess Laila”.  She loves watching any movies about princesses and this is one we’ve been watching over and over again for my little princess.

Q: If you had 24 hours of freedom to do anything you wanted (and money wasn’t an object), what would you do?

A: If I had 24 hours of freedom and money wasn’t an object, I’d definitely go on a fast trip to see the ocean.  I’ve never seen it and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.  Skydiving would also be thrown in there.  I would love to do that someday.  I would probably do as much as I could in that 24 hours and come back a super tired momma.
