Monday Mama: Rachel Steffen’s Little One Has Found Another Use For His FuzziBunz

Rachel Steffen, a.k.a “Running Rachel,” is a cloth diapering mom to three boys – one of which who has found a creative way to use his FuzziBunz. Let’s get to know this cloth diapering mom a bit more:

Q. How have cloth diapers changed your life?

A. I have been a cloth diaper Mommy for almost six years.  I love that I do not have to worry about making a late night run to the store to pick up more diapers.  I just need to do a load of laundry and I am all set for the following day.  I love the cute cloth diapered bums.  During the summer I do less laundry on the little ones because their FuzziBunz diaper is the only attire they wear on most days.

Q. How did your son discover that his FuzziBunz were the perfect way to carry around his toys and trucks?

A. My two older boys were carrying around their toys and trucks in their pockets.  My youngest son noticed that he didn’t have pockets (he was only wearing a diaper) and decided to make do with what he had!

Q. What do you find most rewarding about motherhood?

A. I find that I am NEVER bored being a mom.  Life is always an adventure and I am learning as I go.

Q. Now that you have a family, are there any traditions you have carried on from your own childhood, or any traditions you’ve started?

A.  Most of my family traditions center around the holidays.  We do a lot of creative fun baking, crafts, sightseeing (decorated homes), gift making and giving.

Q. If you had 24 hours of freedom to do anything you wanted (and money wasn’t an object), what would you do?

A. I would enjoy a full, all-inclusive day at the spa.  I would want someone to wait on me hand and foot. I would eat a meal at the proper temperature, sitting down, and in its entirety.  I would be able to relax, bathe in peace and even ‘rest’ uninterrupted.
