Scott Kerns is a SAHD to Emma (4 months). He quit his job so he could raise his daughter full-time. Let’s get to know this cloth diapering dad a bit more:
Q. How have cloth diapers changed your life?
A. Cloth diapers make diapering more convenient. When Emma was born, she was too small for our FuzziBunz. She used disposables for about a month. We had to remember to put diapers on the grocery list and make sure we bought the right size. Diaper rash was a constant worry. With cloth diapers, we never have to worry about diaper rash, which is a big relief. If we run low on diapers, we just do a load of laundry. When we have another baby, she will use the same diapers that Emma used. All in all, very convenient. Thank you FuzziBunz!
Q. The first thing I do when I wake up is…
A. Feed Emma if she’s hungry. Emma has shown that this is in my best interests as well, more than making coffee
Q. No matter how much time it takes, I always…
A. Write or call my wife when she is at work. I know she is always thinking about us, so I keep her up-to-date on what we are up to.
Q. The most unusual thing in my diaper bag or purse is…
A. A nose bulb and a spare rattle in case Emma gets fussy in public. This probably isn’t that unusual, but our diaper bag is strictly business.
Q. If I could live in one outfit for the rest of my life, it would be…
A. A polo shirt and jeans. So far, being a stay-at-home dad makes this a reality.
