A few weeks ago, German artist Stephan Wanger created a 30′ x 8′ gigantic postcard made from more than ONE MILLION recycled Mardi Gras beads. Wow!
It took Wanger 14 months to assemble the mosaic, which showcases the skyline of New Orleans. It will be auctioned off later this year, with all the money raised going to support rebuilding New Orleans in a post-Katrina world. Not only does Wanger’s work of art bring beauty to the world and raise funds for the city he loves, but also it breaks a Guinness World Record as the world’s largest mosaic!
