FuzziBunz CEO Named a “Leading Mom in Business” by StartupNation

Tereson Dupuy, founder of FuzziBunz, named "Leading Mom in Business"

Lafayette, LA (November 10, 2010) – Among literally thousands of entrants, Tereson Dupuy, the CEO and founder of FuzziBunz Cloth Diapers, was selected as one of 200 of StartupNation’s “2010 Leading Moms in Business.” Dupuy’s rank is #135.

StartupNation is an organization that supports entrepreneurship by offering free resources and support to entrepreneurs who are starting and growing their own businesses.

Dupuy says, “Entrepreneurship is on the rise and it’s wonderful to see such a competition to support moms like me who are trying to bring products that help others to the marketplace. Without the support of other entrepreneurs and startups, FuzziBunz cloth diapers wouldn’t be where it is today. That is one thing I know for sure!”

In the 2010 contest, StartupNation says more than 709,000 votes were casted cumulatively for all 2010 contestants. This is likely a reflection of society’s growing interest in supporting women-owned businesses.

“There’s been a sea change among moms as they’ve come to realize that adding entrepreneurship to their lives brings exhilaration and immense gratification, not to mention supplemental—sometimes primary—income to their families in these dicey economic times,” says Rich Sloan, chief startupologist and co-founder of StartupNation.
