Dear FuzziBunz Friends:
For more than a decade, it has been my goal to provide you with quality cloth diapers that were designed to stand the test of time. We have preached the benefits of durable snap closures over hook and loop closures forever. We still believe that to be true.
However, over the past several months we have seen far more snap problems than we are accustomed to. This has caused us to look deeper into this situation to locate the problem and find a permanent solution. After much investigation we believe that the problem was caused by a batch of defective snaps.
While we have replaced the majority of diapers affected by these defective snaps, which were used during manufacturing of diapers (not Elites) in February and March of 2001 and sold to retailers in April and May of 2011; however due to different retailers moving product at different rates of speed, we recognize that some customers may still be experiencing snap issues.
I’d like to take some time to answer some of the questions you may have about this issue and how we plan to resolve it.
What do you do if you have a faulty snap?
If the snap on your diaper breaks off during use (this will mostly likely happen after the first few uses), you have one of the diapers affected. We ask that you immediately fill out a product warranty form (http://www.fuzzibunzretailers.com/prodSupport.php). We will swiftly replace your diaper at that time.
How do I know if I have faulty snaps?
If you have been using your diapers for more than a few weeks and your snaps have not become faulty, it’s likely you do not have any defective snaps. You can spot a defective snap if the snap is broken or raised from the fabric. If it looks defective, we will send you a replacement product. Another way to test if your snap is defective is to snap each snap shut and then yank the snap apart abruptly. If
it is faulty it should come off at that time; otherwise your snaps are okay and were not impacted by this issue.
What is FuzziBunz doing to make this situation better?
Further, it is our goal to make you feel good about FuzziBunz. I have and always will stand behind the quality of FuzziBunz diapers.
Because I am sincerely saddened by this issue, I desperately want to make things right. In addition to replacing any diapers with faulty snaps, we are further offering a new LIFETIME warranty on snaps. Prior to this, our warranty on snaps was one year. To instill further confidence, we are also providing a LIFETIME warranty on every diaper’s PUL (waterproof outer shell) too. The previous warranty was one year.
Whether you have one of the affected diapers or not, please rest assured that your diaper’s snaps will be replaced by FuzziBunz with no hesitation. This lifetime warranty is extended on ALL FuzziBunz diapers purchased at any time in the past or future. You can read more about our new lifetime warranty in today’s press release.
